Ruki Makino from Digimon Tamers as Gold from Pokemon (Gold/Silver/Crystal Versions)
Does Gold even have a Growlithe? I have no idea. Orginially I was going to draw a Ninetails (because of Kyuubimon) but I ended up with a Growlithe instead. Let's face it, Growlithe's are cuter.
This is part of a series/larger piece. I wanna do each character seperatly before I put them togethor.
I got this idea when I was wondering what would happen if somebody got sucked into the actual Digimon game. Something like VG Cat's Super Effective.
Blah shading still isn't my strong suit.

Meh, just like everything you'll get better with practice. Shading is hard for a lot of people to understand, even artists with natural talent. It reminds me of a Chinese exchange student we had at my High School. He thought he was all that and the teachers treated him as such except for one substitute. She made him restart a project because he got the shading all wrong. He put the cast shadow right in front of the light source, which is impossible in real life. (These were drawings of still life, which he thought he could get away with not setting up.) He really hated her for saying he was wrong, but in all honesty he wasn't good at art theory at all (like shading).
I don't know where I was going with this story . . . But I hope it makes you feel better like it makes me feel better about my art.
